History

Some words by Ana Ines Goñi:

"With fond memories of Mobaco - which was once brought to Argentina by her grandfather - Ana wanted to let her children play with it too. Unfortunately, the original box appeared to be missing. This gave her, her mother & twin brothers the idea to make a version themselves. But in such a way, to make the dreams of the past come true! After a year of designing and trying, the Tatami castle with a moving drawbridge was created. Since then, the attractive portfolio has been significantly expanded."

Boxes & content

There are 6 boxes/bags for sale:

  1. Tatami bags: small (35 parts), medium (50 parts) & large (80 parts).
  2. Tatami box: houses elements (130 parts)
With option to personalise the box.
  3. Tatami wooden box: castle (90 parts).

Beside that, you could also buy spare/other parts.

The box lid is quite clever. When turning around, the holes for the columns are visible. So it's easy to start building. The building could also be stored on top of the box, so it does not need to be disassembled, very handy!

Building & playing

Our kids like to play with Tatami construction set. Biggest plus: the closed base plate and the nice castle design. This set is often combined with the other Mobaco parts, creating a big 'playground / construction yard':

It seems that Tatami parts also fit the Mobaco base plate. That's handy. 😉
