Mobaco - Doors & Gates
It's still funny to see what the boys are creating with Mobaco.
The doors & gates are always used. Somehow they like this simple addition.
So after a request for new wall pannels, it's also time updating the gates:

The wooden parts from the left 2 buildings were already made. Main concern: "The double doors of the middle building could open both inside & outside. That's wrong daddy."
Okay, that's a quick fix. Gluing a small piece of wood on top of the existing doorstep, the doors can open only in one direction.
Portcullis update
Honestly the portcullis on the left side (picture above) is actually used as bridge.
This needs an update too! There are different ways to solve these.

The left version: The most logic direction, is creating a portcullis which fully slides inside the columns. But this needs a specialist weak floor stip. What is even worse: this floor strip is not compatible with other strips. So this system is difficult to integrate to the rest of the building.
So that's why the right side version is created. This is the most easy way, combining the portcullis with the existing Mobaco floor plates & strips.
Doors & gates...
For entering the fortress:
- Lowering the bridge,
- Opening the doors,
- Lifting the portcullis,
- Welcome in the fortress.

(Alternativly, walk around the fortress, since the backside is still open.)

Now 2 ropes could be used, one for the bridge & one for the portcullis. It's getting even more fun now!
