LeoCAD – Snapping

Within LeoCAD, you could use the snap function to align the orgine of parts to fixed positions on the grid. This very handy!
I would suggest to learn these short-cuts, which will increase building speed a lot.

Since LeoCAD is focused on Lego, the snap sizes are according Lego nomimal dinstances.

An example

Currently it’s most handy to use for Mobaco library (v0.2):
– XY snapping: 1 Stud (short cut: Keyboard 5)
– Z snapping: 1/20 Stud (short cut: Keyboard 1)
– Rotational: depends, for walls use 90 degrees, roofs angles varies.
