Having our toddler playing around with the take apart toys, I see some frustration with the screw drill:
- Removing those bolts, requires sometimes more torque then thightening.
- It uses batteries…
Manual screw driver set
Looking around on Thingiverse, AndrewBougie created already a nice manual screw driver set. From my point of view, it only misses some magnets, keeping the bit & handle together, so time for a remake:

The handle has a steel bolt inside and all the bits having a D6x6mm magnet inside. Due to the steel bolt, the orientation of the magnets don’t matter.
Torque limited screw driver
The manual srew driver still works very well. But it doesn’t solve the torque issue. So let’s design a torque limited screw driver.
Additional constrains:
- Compatible with the manual screw driver.
- Compatible with original Battat screwing bits.
- Torque is limited, so no more breaking (3D printed) screws.
- Disassembling torque should be bigger then the thightenting torque.
The torque limited screw driver works with 3 metal balls. If the torque is too high, these balls are able to move the tensioner aside and jumping in the next hole. The amount of torque could be changed by the spring the adjustable spring length.

Manual screw drivers is always included in the Cults3D designs.
And also seperate available at Thingiverse.

Conclusions
Overall, the manual screwdriver with magnets are the most used tools.
